It sucks that metal has lost its “danger” appeal. Now every 13 year old boy is listening to Nu Metal like Slipknot and Korn, and their parents don’t give a shit! It’s really fucking sad. And besides, Slipknot TRIES to be scary. Most of the old-school metal bands didn’t even have to try, it just happened. Marilyn Manson was probably the last musician that was ever feared, and he doesn’t care about shock rock anymore.

Even after Dee Snider totally pwned those parents in court, people still believe heavy metal is bad. I have a friend wh doesn’t even listen to metal, and he agrees that it’s not bad music.
