    Gaahl talks with his eyes and lack of facial expressiveness.

    Isfahn’s quite intelligent.

    the inverted cross is actually something that is considered good in Christianity. When the first pope, St Peter, was going to be martyred by crucifixion he asked the cross be upside down. This was because he didn’t want to show himself as good as Jesus. So…every time a band uses an inverted cross, they’re actually saying they’re not worthy of christ.

    I dislike the idea that Heavy Metal should be naturally leaning to the right. I think the fact that individualism is so prevelant an ideology in the whole scene, is a testament to the fact that heavy metal has middle-class, white, origins.

    @HardgateHellion … reaction :)

  15. HardgateHellion says:

    Did anyone else hear “its very easy to create an erection” at 7:29???

  16. cyrilzero says:

    what band is playing at 4:15?

  17. hobodoctor says:

    @Labyrinthofslumber I think in one context he meant musically and in the other he meant ideologically. Few black metal bands present topics as extreme topics as death metal, few death metal bands truly believe in the topics they present as much as black metal bands.

  18. Labyrinthofslumber says:

    I thought he had said death metal was the most extreme sub-genre before. Now it’s apparently changed to black metal.

  19. Shink5 says:

    Yeh Gorgoroth are such Posers , The give Black Metal a bad name. Emperor is so much better cause they leave it to the music and dont go prancing around in makeup murnning churches

  20. icefreakk says:

    wut is the first song?

  21. NerdFury says:

    it may not sound as “heavy” or have lyrics that are as “violent” but black metal is real in a sense that death metal isn’t
