@cropsidile It’s sad but true..KISS was going through a huge decline in popularity at that time. Releasing Unmasked, The Elder, and the heavy merchandising turned away many fans and they had moved on. It’s pretty well documented by fans and the band that attendance on this tour was abysmal. It’s a shame because they came back with a vengeance with this record. It’s my favorite album next to Destroyer

@DiamondDEK i find it VERY hard 2 believe that there were empty seats at a KISS concert mainly because of all the fans they have and how big they are so u may be telling the truth but i have 2 say i cant believe there were empty seats where u were.

I think he is referring to Mark St. John…. Kiss guitarist on Animalize

  5. SuperWolf3d says:

some religious fantics said that kiss meant Knights In Satans Service

    Good shit!

This album is by far Kiss’ greatest work

  7. b0gster says:

Of course not. He was from the moon, as his name tells.

  8. PeSkeleton says:

Excuse me, but who is John St. Paul?

  9. ErikB71 says:

Underrated is the word. Its unbelievable how this album never went platinum. It should have been their best selling album ever for the quality that went into it. I think it sucks how Kiss’ attempt to re-establish their fan base with this release wasnt successful. The fans who gave up on Kiss after they moved away from their hard rock roots on albums like Unmasked, should have given Kiss another chance with this record. Its the greatest injustice of all time how little recognition this LP got.

The Gbergh, you are totaly right.
Let everybody talk about Destroyer, R&R over and Love Gun. To me and to you, THIS is the album that headlinessss..
    Specialy like usual the Stanley-songs.
Lick it up is stellar to but less..

  19. TheGbergh says:

this album is so under-rated, Eric’s drumming is stellar, my favorite KISS album of all time, drove my mom and dad nuts blasting this in my bedroom, the windows would rattle, memories man, memories.

  20. DiamondDEK says:

Yeah, Creatures and Alive III were both great albums. BIG kudos goes to Carr for getting the boys back on track. I saw this tour in Austin and was kinda embarrassed because of all the empty seats, but it was still a badass album.

    RIP Eric…

  21. samboy1288 says:
